It was time for the tour's headliners INGESTED, and with FALLUJAH upping the anti, Jason Evans - Vocalist has never backed down from a challenge, and the very high bar set by FALLUJAH was never going to be a daunting task, But one that would be skinned right infront of tonight's crowd. INGESTED opened with "Paragon of Purity", and it was evident that tonight was going to be a slaughtering in the making. What I love about INGESTED is a battle cry to their fans, and what they put into each show also demand the same back in return, and every fan in every venue delivers. Next we got "Ashes Lie Still" shortly followed by "Better Off Dead". Jason commanded the flock infront of him, and getting every single person in the venue to get on the floor before growling "Jump". As mentioned earlier that the bar had a high standard to beat, well INGESTED delivered and once again proved why they still heavy weight champions with tonight's outing.
Other tracks on the setlist were "Endless Machine, Impending Dominance & The Devine Right of Kings". Although the set felt a little short, TBH I don't think the crowd could have delivered any better, with Stage Divers, Circle Pits and a room split in two to only run at each other. A brilliant night of Death Metal, But the only downside of tonight and going forward for the rest of the UK is the unfortunate situation with Vulvodynia.
This was a great opening night that the rest of the UK has to step up too.
