Listening to My Dying Bride since the early 1990s, having the opportunity to listen and review the new album "A Mortal Binding" I was eager to hear what new offerings the band had conjured up."A Mortal Binding" is everything you would expect from the band with a sprinkling more Doom from the condiment tray. This is a album that's not for everyone, and delicate persons should stay clear, but if you are Doomed in both music genre and your soul, you need this album both in your collections and you're life. It's dark in tone but that's not a negative thing, and like bands in the same genre I.e Paradise Lost's Calibre, you would expect darkness to be ever present. I think this is a solid record, but a little depressing, but that's what make A Dying Bride one of the most successful Doom Merals around.
